Epilogue
Reading through her observations, Dr. Sana closed the case of 913. What we call ghosts are just energy imprints left behind by different people, and depending on the intent and emotions you carry within, you end up drawing those same energies to yourself. Positive or negative, both. She suggested Nirvan to re-christian the area as a play area for toddlers. No numbers anymore, just happy names of positive frequency and a change of color scheme. The wiring was redone and the room restored to a vibrant space full of life.
The room did have a presence, but merely energies left behind by a sorrowful old man who appeared to be visible to those few who could see the goodness in him and his intent and some negativity which usually bundles up in places where sad events often occur. There is no more a 913 at the City Centre Hospital anymore, and young children play around with joy in the newly inaugurated creche which was started at the behest of Dr. Sana .Young children can often be seen giggling, swearing they see an old man or Grandpa like figure making silly faces to them. The nurses and caretakers are oblivious to the urban legend and do not believe the toddlers anyway. A young child may often be talking about something from memory they say. Only a few believe them.
Dr. Sana has now been promoted to head of department Holistic Health, a full time initiative. Her report about the findings of Room 913 remain sealed between the four people who were there on the moonless night of Halloween.Mehr assists Dr. Sana and her research team while also pursuing an active career as a creative writer on the side. Kshitij keeps away from Mehr and his sudden change of heart is mocked for a while before the gossip vine grows onto a different branch with Richa and her new office romance. Life goes on and nothing remains the same for anyone at the City Centre Hospital.
